Obituary

In the early hours of May 10th, 2021, Lyn Lindsay, a loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully in Squamish, B.C. Lyn leaves behind his loving wife, Donna Lindsay, sons Greg (Sarah), Paul (Mandy), and daughters Samantha and Michelle (Rob).

For thirty years, Lyn worked for BC Rail until he eventually retired in 2004. He loved his family, friends, and community.

He was an active and long-time member of the Squamish Valley Golf Club, in which he served over twenty years on the executive board at the club. Lyn’s service to the Squamish Valley Golf Club over the years was immense and his dedication to the Club and his love of the game was evidenced by the sheer amount of time that he spent there. Lyn was ‘at home’ when he was at the Club, whether it be chairing a Board Meeting, doing a pre-round scout for balls around the ponds or having a couple of cold beverages with his long-time golf and pre-retirement work colleagues.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lyn’s honour to the Sea to Sky Hospice Society.

It is still hard to believe you are not still with us Uncle Lyn. I see a joke and catch myself wanting to pass it on to you.
I have so many fond memories of you. Like selling your comic books when I was about five, for a nickle a piece. Then reminding you of what they would be worth today.
Riding in your car in grandma and grandpa's back yard, because you didn't have a license or insurance yet.
How your whole face would lite up, when you smiled. RIP Uncle, until we meet again.
I Love and Miss you.

Uncle Lyn was my Dad's little brother and someone my Dad loved with all his heart. They were both full of laughter, jokes and bull crap. If you saw them together you would have no choice but to smile, as they always laughed together and made fun of one another. I will remember Uncle Lyn's laugh, his amazing sense of humour, the way that he and I could tease each other and the look he'd get on his face if he thought you were trying to pull a fast one on him. Uncle Lyn, may you rest surrounded in laugher and the love of those who left before you. With love always your smartass niece Gloria-Dee xoxoxo

We really miss Lyn's presence around the golf course. He was a major reason that the course is what it is today. We are sorry for your loss which is everyones loss at Squamish Valley. Stewart and June Kleban

Uncle Lyn was my Dad’s younger brother. They shared a special bond. I have many memories of Uncle Lyn. He had a great sense of humour, an infectious laugh and a smile that would light up his eyes. Uncle Lyn was always sure to tell me he loved me. It meant a lot to me. God speed Unc. Until we meet again I love you ♥️ Tracey
